iOS Developer

What does an iOS developer do?

I build iOS apps across two paths: native Swift and SwiftUI, or Flutter-based cross-platform development that compiles natively to iOS. The work covers app architecture, UI implementation, Apple framework integrations (StoreKit, HealthKit, CryptoKit, CoreData), code signing, and full App Store Connect release management. 3+ years of professional Swift and SwiftUI experience alongside 5+ years of Flutter-to-iOS delivery across 15+ projects. My iOS portfolio includes Somos Blockchain, an ETH crypto wallet with biometric auth, seed phrase management, and MetaMask integration. Available for iOS projects on either path.

An iOS developer builds applications that run on Apple's iPhone and iPad. The work includes designing app architecture, building UI with platform-appropriate patterns, integrating Apple frameworks (StoreKit, HealthKit, CryptoKit, CoreData), configuring code signing, and managing App Store Connect releases. iOS delivery spans two main paths: native Swift and SwiftUI development, or Flutter-based cross-platform delivery that compiles natively to iOS. Ali Wajdan has worked on both. He has 3+ years of professional Swift and SwiftUI experience building client iOS apps, alongside 5 years of Flutter-to-iOS delivery across 15+ projects. His iOS-specific portfolio includes Somos Blockchain, an ETH-based crypto wallet for iPhone featuring biometric authentication, seed phrase management, and MetaMask wallet integration. He is available for iOS projects on either path depending on product requirements.

Problem

A crypto startup needed a self-custody ETH wallet for iOS: seed phrase generation and recovery, MetaMask wallet management, buy and withdrawal flows for crypto assets, and biometric authentication at the wallet entry point. The app also had to satisfy Apple's crypto-specific App Store review criteria, which required deliberate planning from the start.

Action

Built the complete Flutter iOS frontend: BIP-39 seed phrase generation and recovery, ETH buy and withdrawal flows, MetaMask wallet management via Ethers.js, and Face ID and Touch ID auth integrated at the wallet access layer. Flutter Secure Storage handled private key management. Portfolio tracking and full transaction history completed the core feature set.

Result

Live on the App Store, cleared Apple's crypto app review on the first submission. Biometric auth and secure storage satisfied Apple's guidelines without requiring workarounds. The full release pipeline runs through Fastlane with automated code signing and TestFlight distribution for pre-release builds.

How to choose

Flutter vs Swift for iOS.

Both paths deliver production iOS apps. The choice follows your product requirements.

Flutter cross-platform iOS delivery

One codebase that compiles natively to iOS and Android. Fastest path to both stores. Best for products that need consistent UI across platforms, have a cross-platform roadmap, or want to ship faster without separate native teams. Flutter renders through its own graphics engine with no UIKit components.

Best for: cross-platform products, MVPs, consumer apps, startups with tight timelines

Native Swift and SwiftUI

iOS-first development using Apple's primary language. Direct access to every Apple framework: HealthKit, ARKit, CoreML, StoreKit, CoreData, CloudKit. Best for products that are iOS-only by design, need deep Apple platform integration, or have requirements outside Flutter's existing plugin surface.

Best for: iOS-only products, Apple ecosystem depth, hardware-level integrations

Client feedback

What clients say.

Ali delivered excellent work ahead of schedule and kept communication clear at every stage. The attention to detail came through in the final product. Would not hesitate to work together again.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can Ali Wajdan build native Swift iOS apps?
Yes. Beyond Flutter, I have 3+ years of professional Swift and SwiftUI experience building iOS apps for clients. Those projects are client-owned and not in the public portfolio, but the work covers SwiftUI-based UIs, UIKit integrations, Apple framework usage (CoreData, StoreKit, HealthKit), and App Store Connect releases including provisioning, code signing, and TestFlight. Swift is available for projects that need iOS-native capabilities or an iOS-only scope.
What iOS apps has Ali Wajdan shipped publicly?
Somos Blockchain is an iOS-only app: an ETH-based crypto wallet with seed phrase generation and recovery, buy and withdrawal flows, MetaMask-based wallet management, biometric authentication, and portfolio tracking across assets. It is live on the App Store. Monetiza (120,000+ users) and DreamyBot (100,000+ users) are both Flutter apps that run natively on iOS and Android. Inside Chassidus and Care Compass also ship on iOS.
Flutter vs Swift: which is right for my iOS project?
Flutter compiles to native ARM code and renders through its own graphics engine, giving consistent UI across iOS and Android from one codebase. Swift is Apple's native language: right when a product needs deep platform integration (ARKit, CoreML, HealthKit), is iOS-only, or requires capabilities outside Flutter's plugin surface. For cross-platform products, Flutter is the faster path to both stores. For iOS-native products, Swift is the appropriate choice.
How does Ali handle App Store submission and review?
App Store Connect configuration, provisioning profiles, code signing, TestFlight beta distribution, and submission through the full review process are all part of the standard delivery. Monetiza, DreamyBot, Somos Blockchain, and Inside Chassidus have all passed App Store review and are live in production. CI/CD with Fastlane automates the build and submission pipeline so releases are repeatable and consistent without manual steps at each cycle.
